Kupwara, April 14 (KB): Police on Thursday arrested three drug peddlers from Kupwara, and have recovered contrabanded substances from their possession, officials said.
Police spokesperson as per a statement issued to Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), said that Kupwara police has arrested three persons involved in peddling of drugs in Kralpora area of the district. 
“Acting on a specific information, a police team of Police Station Kralpora led by SHO Waseem Ahmad laid a naka at Wasulkhatu Kralpora and intercepted the trio while transporting the narcotics”, he said.
As per the spokesperson, the peddlers have been identified as; Asghar Ali Khan son of Gh Hassan resident of Meelyal, Mohammad Ashraf Mir son of Gh Ahmed Mir of Kralpora and Jahangir Ahmed Malik son of Mohammad Sultan Malik a resident of Malik Mohalla Kralpora, from whom approximately 32 grams of brown sugar like banned substance and 22 grams of charas was recovered. 
According, case FIR No. 24/2022 under sections 8/20,21 & 29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kralpora and investigations taken up. (Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
