Tragic Landslide in Reasi: 24-year-old driver loses life
Srinagar, Sep 16 (KB): A deadly landslide struck Avtar Singh Morh near Chassana in Reasi district early this morning claims a life of a driver.
An official said that the landslide is claiming the life of 24-year-old Rocky, a driver hailing from Salal.
The landslide happened out of nowhere, blocking the road and trapping Rocky under the debris, he said.
Locals and authorities rushed to the location, clearing the blockade to retrieve the body, Unfortunately, the driver could not be saved, the official said.
The community is left stunned by the sudden death of Rocky, who is known to them to be a very hard working and dedicated individual.
As a precautionary measure, authorities services are still keeping an eye on the route for any other landslides, while authorities ask people to avoid the route until the situation is stabilized.— (KB)
