Shopian, 11 Aug: A trekker from Handwara lost consciousness due to breathlessness while trekking at high altitude in the Dubjan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday. He was immediately rushed to the District Hospital (DH) Shopian.
Sources told Kashmir Bulletin(KB) that, trekker fell unconscious during the trek, prompting an urgent rescue to the hospital.
An official from DH Shopian confirmed that the patient was brought in unconscious due to the effects of high altitude but is now in stable condition.

He added the patient will be shifted to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.
