University of Kashmir Suspends Class Work for ‘Viksit Bharat@2047-Voice of Youth’ National Event

The University of Kashmir has taken a significant step to facilitate the participation of its students and faculty in the “Viksit Bharat@2047-Voice of Youth” National Level event organized by Niti Aayog. In a recent announcement, the university has decided to suspend all class work at both the Main and Satellite Campuses on 11th December 2023 at 10.30 AM.

The primary objective behind this decision is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to attend the webcast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address, a pivotal moment in the national event.

The Directorate of IT&SS will share the webcast link, enabling widespread access to this significant address.

Not only are students encouraged to participate, but the university is also emphasizing the involvement of its academic leadership. Deans, HoDs, Professors, Associate Professors, and Officers are specifically requested to ensure their active participation in the webcast, scheduled to take place at 10.00 AM in the EMMRC Auditorium.

This decision comes in partial modification of a previous circular dated 8th December 2023, underlining the importance of this national event. It is crucial to note that while class work is suspended for this extraordinary occasion, all examinations will continue as per the notified schedule.

In making this move, the University of Kashmir demonstrates its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for the intellectual and holistic development of its students, encouraging active engagement with national initiatives that shape the future of the country.
