Vote Counting: Classwork in Selected educational institutions to remain Suspended on Oct 7-8 in Ganderbal & Baramulla: District Admins

Srinagar, 5 Oct (KB): Ahead of Vote counting of Assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir, district administration of Baramulla and Ganderbal has ordered suspension of classwork in selected educational institutions of the district.

According to an order issued by Additional District Magistrate Ganderbal a copy of which is in possession of news agency Kashmir Bulletin reads, For smooth and hassle free counting of votes at Government Degree College Ganderbal, it is hereby ordered that the following educational Institutions shall remain closed on 7th and 8th October, 2024.

Order reads that, Qamaria Educational Institute, Ganderbal, Govt. Degree College, Ganderbal, Green Campus Central University of Kashmir, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal and Sultania Educational Institute Saloora will remain closed on the said date in the district.

However, the estates staff including technicians/electricians/plumbers of Government Degree College Ganderbal shall remain present at their work place, order reads.

In a separate order issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla a copy of which is in possession of KB reads, In connection with the counting of votes of General Elections to Legislative Assembly-2024 at Showkat Ali Stadium Khawajabagh scheduled on 8th of October, classwork of Govt. Degree College Boys Baramulla & Govt. ITI Baramulla shall remain suspended on 7th & 8th of October, 2024, reads the order. (KB)
