Baramulla, Aug 20 (KB): A watchman from Uri, Baramulla, was injured after he jumped from a building during an earthquake in north Kashmir’s Baramulla this morning, eyewitnesses reported.

They told the news aggregator—Kashmir Bulletin (KB) that the incident occurred at Ahmad Complex, where the watchman, identified as Nisar Ahmad Khan, leaped from the building in panic as the tremors shook the region.

They further added that he was immediately rescued by the locals and shifted to District Hospital Baramulla, where his condition is stable and he is being treated accordingly.

Moreover, the details available with KB about the earthquake revealed it was measured at 4.8 on the Richter scale and caused panic at 6:52 AM. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers, with coordinates placing it in Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir.—(KB)
