From here, I plan to travel to Leh, then to Pangong, and after that I will continue my journey to Delhi and eventually back home, he added.

Arun said he is on an “environmental trek”, and his goal is to “inspire” those who waste fuel and contribute to excessive pollution. “I believe in travelling by cycle for as long as possible to help save the planet from pollution,” he said, adding, “Cycling not only benefits the environment but also enhances your health and strength.”

He has brought accessories like a tent and other supplies with him. “My trek has been challenging, and I encountered various obstacles as I am using a regular bicycle. The terrain varied from high to good,” he said.

Mukherji termed the journey so far as “very positive”. “In Kashmir, the security forces provided me with considerable assistance, making my trek smoother. I also feel that Jammu and Kashmir is truly a heaven on earth and a safe destination for tourists,” he added—(KNO)
