JKUWWF Organises Event on Menstrual Hygiene at DAPP Srinagar
Srinagar 27 Apr: J&K United Women’s Welfare Foundation (JKUWWF) on Wednesday organised an event about “Let’s talk about menstrual hygiene at Devi Arya Putri Pathshala (DAPP) in Srinagar’s Wazir Bagh to aware girl students about menstrual hygiene.
In the event, Major Kalpana Rawat (Gynecologist), Lt. Karnal Savitri (Career counsellor) and Mrs Simran Gulyani (Psychiatrist) were invited as the Guest speakers to educate girl students about menstrual hygiene.
However, the students who participated in the event also appreciated the step being taken to inform them about the chosen topic of the event.
They further said that events like these should be conducted more and more in the future to disseminate awareness about menstrual hygiene.
