Teachers And Education Officers of 10 Districts Felicitated at The Grand Ceremony
Srinagar, 30 Mar: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir & Sri Aurobindo Society collaborate to felicitate the education officers and teachers of 10 districts of Kashmir at a grand felicitation ceremony organized in Srinagar.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of the guest of honour Dr. Tassaduq Hussain Mir (KAS), Director, School Education Kashmir and the chief guest Shri. Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Rupantar, Sri Aurobindo Society. The presence of hundreds of teachers and education officers who extended support to the Innovative Pathshaala Alternative Academic Calendar (IPAAC) training added to the success of the felicitation ceremony.
The other dignitaries present at the felicitation ceremony were Dr. Ata-Ul-Munim, Personal Officer, Director of School Education, Kashmir division, Shri. Syed Mansoor, OSD Cultural Wing, Kashmir (U.T) and Shri. G.N. Shakir, Former OSD, Kashmir. The Chief Education Officers (CEO) of all 10 districts of Kashmir division attended the event and applauded the efforts of teachers as well as Sri Aurobindo Society for providing training sessions for the teachers even during the COVID imposed lockdown.
Speaking at the event, the guest of honour Dr. Tassaduq Hussain Mir (KAS), Director, School Education Kashmir appreciated and applauded the teachers and the education officers for contributing their best in upscaling the quality of education in the division and for strengthening online learning even when the schools were closed during COVID-19 imposed lockdown.
Talking about teachers and the ZIIEI training, he said, “It is indeed a proud moment to witness that a large number of teachers have shown their commitment towards the most noble profession in the world – teaching. Teachers being the creators of our future generation hold the massive responsibility on their shoulder and the successful completion of this IPAAC training is a true reflection of your dedication.
I hope this training has equipped each one of you to bring about a significant change in the quality and reach of the education. We are glad to know that the implementation of the innovative teaching ideas learnt during this ZIIEI training and the teaching techniques have already started to benefit the students in the school.” Dr. Tassaduq Hussain Mir also thanked Sri Aurobindo Society’s resource group (trainers) for their continued guidance and training to the teachers during the online training sessions.
Presenting a vote of thanks on behalf of Sri Aurobindo Society to all the esteemed list of guests, education officers and teachers, the chief guest of the felicitation ceremony Shri. Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Rupantar, Sri Aurobindo Society lauded the hard work of the teachers, “It is an enriching experience to meet hundreds of innovative teachers of Kashmir and the education officers.

I congratulate you all for your efforts in transforming education and for the successful completion & implementation of IPAAC training.”
A total of //// primary school teachers from Kashmir received participation certificates. These teachers were selected from 10 districts of Kashmir who completed the IPAAC training given by Sri Aurobindo Society. Working on teachers’ effectiveness, Sri Aurobindo Society’s ZIIEI programme with the support of the education officers of the district selected teachers from the districts to make a change in education. These teachers were trained to up-grade their experiential teaching capabilities and support in achieving minimum learning outcomes of the students.
ZIIEI had conducted online district level training for teachers on IPAAC across the different districts of the Kashmir Division. Based on the guidelines issued by NCERT, IPAAC provides teachers with multiple alternative ways of teaching and learning and ensures to achieve the best possible learning outcomes of the students. In the training session, the teachers were oriented on practical application of IPAAC through 90 minutes online weekly sessions.
During the sessions, teachers were trained to teach any chapter/topic of their State Education Board through zero-investment activities which are mapped with the students’ learning outcomes. The training focused on improving Mathematics, Science & Language skills of the students.
