Coming in support of the unemployed dentists, prominent political activist and Secretary Chairman J&K Peoples Conference has urged the LG administration to immediately advertise posts of dental surgeons.
Tasaduq said that the unemployed dental surgeons have been awaiting employment opportunities for more than a decade now however no concrete policy has come into force yet. Most of these dental surgeons are on the verge of becoming over age. He pointed out that the posts of dental doctors have not been advertised for the past 14 years and unemployment among the dentists had increased to a large extent.
Tasaduq said that dentists worked selflessly during the pandemic throughout the state and made their services available at the worst times our health sector has faced and that the current administration must take a humanitarian view in settling the issue.
“LG administration must immediately take note of the misery of these dental surgeons, create vacancies and fill up vacant posts all over J&K. Over the last 13 years not a single dental surgeon was absorbed in the Government service in J&K. Even though various proposals to engage dental surgeons have been submitted to the government, those were not approved by the Finance department. It is incumbent upon the current administration to take a lenient view of the issue and create employment opportunities for unemployed dental surgeons in J&K”, he added.
