NEW DELHI, Oct 24: : Rishi Sunak on Monday became the new prime minister of UK , capping a stunning reversal in fortunes just weeks after failing in his first attempt to lead the ruling Tories.
For Sunak, who is set to be UK’s first Hindu prime minister, the victory couldn’t have come on a better day than Diwali.
Penny Mordaunt withdrew from the race earlier today.
