Srinagar, Nov 19 (KB): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday ordered posting of Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration).
As per an official order, issued by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Home Department Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar, a copy of which is in possession of Kashmir Bulletin (KB), reads that Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS (RR: 2008), is posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration) J&K.
“In the interest of administration, Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS (RR: 2008), awaiting orders of posting, is hereby posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration), Police Headquarters, J&K, against an available vacancy, with immediate effect. By Order of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir,” reads the official order copy.
“Born in Mumbai, Sarah belongs to an educated family. Her father Afzal Ahmed is a Science Graduate and Mother Nigar Rizvi is an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University. Her brother Wasif Rizvi is a civil Engineer employed in Saudi Arabia and sister Sameera is a computer science graduate settled in Dubai. Sarah married to Munawar Khan, a trainee Asst.
