Srinagar, Apr 4: The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Aijaz Assad on Tuesday said that the district administration will try its best to restore all utilities pertaining to the historic Eidgah here.
Talking to media on the sidelines of Inspection of the historic ground, the DC, as per GNS said that proper demarcation of the area, which was earlier claimed to have been completed by Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, will be done in a proper manner after properly de-marking and inspecting the site.
The DC said that the Waqf Board has flagged some issues here which include encouragement, drainage and lighting and few others. “In this regard I alongwith other officials from district administration Srinagar visited here with the main issue being proper demarcation of the area.
“I have with me the relevant officials which will look into modalities to fix the drainage system, install a proper sound system besides carry out the beautification of the ground.”
Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, the Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board was also present on the occasion. Andrabi said that they have taken stock of the ground-zero situation and that they will do their best to restore the same. (GNS)
