In good news for WhatsApp users, the Meta-owned popular instant messaging platform is reportedly working on multiple new features to make its application more user-friendly.

According to a report from WABetaInfo, these new features are already available for beta testers and will be rolled out for regular users in coming weeks.
Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming features on WhatsApp
1. Secret code feature
The Meta-owned app is working on a secret code feature for locked chats. The feature is different from the phone main password and gives users more control over their locked conversations.
This enhancement improves the privacy of your conversations, even in the event of someone gaining access to your phone. Locked conversations are always listed in a separate section, accessible only through your phone’s PIN or biometric authentication.
2. Search Feature for Updates tab
A search button may now be available within the top app bar, making it possible to search for status updates, followed channels, and even other verified channels.
3. Pinned messages feature
Soon, users on WhatsApp will be able to highlight a message by pinning it to the top of their chat conversations, making it easier for other people to access to important or frequently referenced messages.
4. Redesigned chat attachment menu
Users will get a redesigned chat attachment menu that features a new modern style. The updated menu still features the process of sharing various types of content, but it is now definitely clearer and more intuitive with the latest tweaks.
5. Privacy feature to protect the IP address in calls.
With this feature, users will be able to experiment with an additional layer of security when placing voice and video calls as WhatsApp will make it harder for other people to get your IP address.
