Miltants hideout busted in Ramban woods, arms and ammo recovered
Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNO): The security forces on Friday busted a hideout in Sarniyal forest in Ramban district and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.
In a statement, issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) per an information through reliable source regarding the presence of a cache of arms, ammunition and other war like stores in the forest area of Khari, security forces launched a search operation in the area.
The statement reads that during search operation a terrorist hideout was busted and recovered a huge haul of arms & ammunition.
The recovery, as per the statement, included 113 – 7.62 mm AK 47 Rounds, 02 – 9mm Rounds (rusted condition), 07 – 7.62 mm Sniper Rounds, 05 – PIKA Rounds, 01 – PIKA Belt, 03 – AK-47 Magazines (rusted condition), 03 – Chinese Grenades, 01 – Pakistan Grenade, 02 – UBGL, 300gms of explosives, 01 – FM Transistor, 02 – Fuses & 02 – Detonators. “A case vide FIR No 262 u/s 7/25 Arms Act and Sec 4 Explosives Substances Act has been registered at P/S Khari and investigation has been taken up,” it added—(KNO)
