International Women’s Day was celebrated at Villgam with splendid fervour. Approx 450 civilians incl girls and women participated in the celebrations.
The opening of the celebrations commenced with Wushu and Karate display showcasing selfdefense techniques by girl students. The afternoon was sewn with poetic flavour with girl students presenting beautiful poems and songs on strong character of women, not only as mother, daughter and wife but also, as an important pillar in NationBuilding. 12 Enterprising Women of the AOR were also honoured on this occasion.
This remarkable day was also utilized to honour the teachers imparting coaching to NEET & JEE aspirants and also, felicitations to teachers whose undeterred determination made Winter Tuitions a reality.
