Srinagar, Aug 09 (KB): In a demonstrative display of efficiency and commitment, Srinagar Police were able to trace and reunite two minor children with their families within hours of their declaration in the missing persons’ list.
The children had gone missing from their home at Jamaat-ul-Uloom BK Pora Nowgam for four days, which caused their families and locals to be on high alert.
The case, registered as FIR No. 68/2024 at Police Station Nowgam, elicited an instant response from the law enforcement machinery. Following the filing of the report pertaining to missing persons, a blend of technical inputs and human intelligence was used in locating the whereabouts of the children. With verbatim data and field inputs, police investigators narrowed down the search to a spot in Vilgam, Handwara.
A targeted operation was launched in coordination with Handwara Police by the Srinagar team, which successfully recovered the children from a remote area in Vilgam. The operation was completed within less than four hours, showcasing how the combined efforts of the Srinagar and Handwara police worked efficiently.
This case, solved so quickly, testifies to the excellence of coordinated police work and sophisticated investigative techniques that make this world safe to live in. The investigators shall continue to probe deeper into the circumstances leading to the disappearance of the children and take all measures to prevent recurrence.
