Srinagar, 26 Aug (KB): The National Conference (NC) and Congress have finalized their alliance for the upcoming elections after extensive day long negotiations.
Congress J&K chief Tariq Hamid Karra while addressing the joint presser at Farooq Abdullah’s Gupkar residence as per news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB) said, the NC will contest on 51 seats, while the Congress will field candidates in 32 seats.
Both parties have also agreed to a friendly contest on 5 seats. Additionally, one seat each has been allocated to the Panthers Party and the CPI(M), he added.
It is important to mention that many meetings took place at Farooq Abdullah’s Gupkar residence, where top congress leaders attended the meeting. Moreover tomorrow is the last date of filing nomination forms. (KB)
