jjPM Modi Srinagar visit: Traffic Advisory issued for Sep 19
Srinagar, Sep (KB): The Traffic Police Srinagar has issued a traffic advisory for September 19th, 2024, in view of VVIP visit of PM Narendra Modi to Srinagar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address rally at S.K Stadium in Srinagar where about more than 30,000 people are likely to participate.
To minimize traffic congestion and inconvenience to the public, certain routes will be restricted during specific hours.
Traffic police Srinagar in an advisory as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin reads, Pantha Chowk to Ram Munshi Bagh, Traffic movement will be restricted from 4 AM to 4 PM. Motorists can use the alternative route via Panthachowk-Nowgam-Sanatnagar-Chanapora-Natipora-Ram Bagh.
Police Golf Course/Hotel Lalit to Gupkar and Ram Munshi Bagh, Traffic will be restricted during the same time period. Motorists can use Boulevard Road via Nehru Park-Dalgate, it reads.
Dalgate to Ram Munshi Bagh Traffic will be restricted from 4 AM to 4 PM. Motorists can use the Badyari-Dalgate-MA Road or RR Road.
Traffic Assistance Points will be set up at Panthachowk, Shivpora, Sonwar, Rajbagh, Badyari, Dalgate, Radio Kashmir, Abdullah Bridge, Sangermal, Lalit Grand Palace, adcisory reads.
Participants are advised to park their vehicles in designated parking areas only. Wrongly parked vehicles will be towed.
