Budgam, Jan 13, KNT: Nearly 35 sheep belonging to a man were stolen from a shed in South Kashmir’s budgam district.
The incident occurred during the intervening night of January 12 and 13 in Chek-e-Pohru DK Pora of budgam.
The victim Abdul Rehman Guru son of Abdul Samad told News Agency Kashmir News Trust that thieves have used equipments to cut the tin sheets of the shed and they managed to stole his 35 sheep worth lakhs of rupees.
“I contacted neighbours and looked in other areas but there was no sign of the sheep,” he said adding that thieves might have used a heavy motor vehicle for the purpose.
“There were 17 ewes and 18 lambs, all of the local breed,” he said adding that a report has been filed at local police station. (KNT)
