Srinagar, 22 Sep (KB): Thousands of devotees participated in the Grand Milad Rally, organized by Dawat-e-Minhaj-ul-Islam, to commemorate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ in Srinagar.
Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Bulletin stated that the rally began from Darbagh, Harwan, and culminated at Brein Nishat. Enthusiastic devotees thronged the streets, showcasing their devotion and fervor.
Sajad Ishberi, Vice Chairman of Dawat Minhaj-ul-Islam, spoke exclusively with KB, “Praise be to Allah, this year as well, we have successfully organized the historic procession from Darbagh Harwan to Brein Nishat, just like every year.
Tradition was initiated by Fakir-e-Millat Hazrat Fakir Syed Meerak Shah Kashani Sahab RA around 1930. We continue to follow this tradition every year, just like the processions held in Makkah and Madinah. Today, processions are held across the country, and we proudly carry on this legacy, he said.
We are willing to sacrifice everything for our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He graced this world on the 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, and that’s why we celebrate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ Ishberi said. (KB)
