AAC expresses condolence to Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir on demise of aunt

Deceased was spouse of Moulvi Ali Muhammad Jan, elder brother of Shaheed-e-Millat.

Srinagar, Nov 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of the aunt of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq who passed away today morning after a brief illness. The deceased was the spouse of the Late Moulvi Ali Muhammad Jan, the elder brother of the organisation’s founder Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq.

AAC in a statement expressed condolences to Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir and to the deceased’s sons Molvi Khalid Umar and Molvi Hamid Ali and all  members of Mirwaiz family in this hour of grief and sorrow and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul.

All the leaders and workers of the organisation expressed heartfelt condolence and solidarity with the members and relatives of the Mirwaz family.

The funeral prayer was led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq after he was allowed by the authorities. A large number of people from all walks of life participated in the nimaz e jinazah . Later, the deceased was buried in the ancestral  family graveyard .

AAC in the statement paid tributes to the deceased, describing her as a deeply caring compassionate and very pious woman who had earned a prominent position in the  family as the kind and loving matriarch whose death is a huge loss to the family.

Note: According to family sources, the condolence of the deceased will continue for three days at her ancestral house “Bait Al-Hamd” in Kursoo Rajbagh. There will be no congregational fatheha khawni .
