Srinagar, Aug 30 : The residents of Mehtab Enclave in Bagh-e-Mehtab area of Srinagar, here have urged the authorities to macadamize the road.

 

Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the residents said that the road in their enclave is in shambles as it has been neglected by the authorities for a long time.

“We have approached several higher ups so far, but all in vain,” said Muthar Ahamed Shah, a local resident.

“We appeal to the authorities to macadamize our roads at an earliest,” said another local resident, Dr. Gulzar Ahamed.

 

Meanwhile, the residents of Ishber in Nishat area of Srinagar district also said the authorities have failed to repair the road despite several notices.

 

The locals from the area, while speaking to KNO said the condition of the road near Jamia Masjid Ishber Nishat has been neglected for a long time. Since it’s the busiest road for vehicles, the condition of the road here is very bad, they said.

“We urge the authorities to look into the matter and ensure redressal of their grievances at earliest,” they said—(KNO)
