Bus Carrying Wedding Guests Catches Fire on Karnal National Highway; Driver’s Quick Action Averts Tragedy

Srinagar 26 Nov: A bus transporting 15 to 17 wedding guests caught fire on the Karnal National Highway on Saturday.

The incident occurred as the passengers, returning from a wedding in Delhi to Karnal, experienced a suspected short-circuit, according to information provided by the bus driver to the police.

Fortunately, the driver, Pradeep, displayed quick thinking, ensuring the safe evacuation of all wedding guests. Pradeep, while sharing additional details, mentioned that the passengers were returning from a wedding ceremony in Delhi when smoke was detected in the bus.

He promptly halted the vehicle and ensured the passengers’ safe exit, preventing any casualties.

Upon receiving notification of the incident, both the fire brigade and police promptly arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts, the bus was completely engulfed in flames by the time they reached, resulting in the loss of the vehicle. JKNN
