Fire breaks out in Tulail market, Gurez; 8 to 10 Shops, 2 Houses affected, F&ES on Job

Bandipora, Oct 13 (KB): A major fire broke out in the Dawar Tulail market in the Gurez area of Bandipora district on Sunday evening, causing significant damage to property, officials said.
They said at least more than half a dozen shops were damaged, along with damage to residential houses.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB) that the incident was reported at 8:34 PM, with teams immediately dispatched from the Dawar Gurez command and nearby stations.
He said that upon arrival, the fire was found to have engulfed nearly 8 to 10 shops and two residential houses.
He added that despite efforts, the fire remained uncontrolled at the time of the report, while the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, firefighters are on the spot, working to contain the blaze, while more details are awaited.—(KB)
