IGP inaugurates Open Air Gymnasium in Police Housing Colony Bemina

Srinagar, Nov 20 (KNO): Inspector Gneral of Police (IGP), Kashmir V. K Birdi Monday inaugurated Open Air Gymnasium in Police Housing Colony Bemina and dedicated it to all the police families residing in the colony.

On the occasion, DIG CKR Sujit Kumar, Addl. SP West Zone Amit Verma, SDPO West Shahjahan and other police officers were present. Besides, many inhabitants of the colony, particularly children were also present on the occasion, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

Notably, the gym has been established under the “Civic Action Program” of J&K Police department by Range Police Hqrs Srinagar.

IGP Kashmir while interacting with children present on the occasion expressed the hope that J&K Police is able to establish more such facilities for our officials as well as their families.

The officer also took opportunity to speak with some of the kins of the Police families to enquire about the well-being and any of the problems they may be facing and IGP Kashmir assured them that their genuine grievance will be addressed on priority.
