Srinagar, May 12 (KB): A Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead by unknown gunmen inside his office in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday, meanwhile a massive protest took place at Srinagar, officials said.
Official source told Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), that scores of people from Indra Nagar area of Srinagar took to national highway on Thursday late night, inorder to register their protest against administration.
As per KB the angry protestants blocked the nation highway and raised slogans against the administration.
Meanwhile, after the protest hiked, Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Srinagar Rakesh Balwal along with Deputy Commissioner (DC), Srinagar Ajaz Asad personally visited the area and listened to the greviences of people.
When asked about the clearance of road as many ambulances are stuck due to heavy traffic jam, SSP Srinagar said that, “we are clearing the traffic, and it is about to get clear.”
Meanwhile, DC Srinagar also informed KB that, I along with SSP, was on spot, and now the traffic movement has been restored—(Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
