KU Announces Winter Vacation 2024, know date here

Srinagar, December 26, 2023 — The University of Kashmir, renowned for its academic excellence and NAAC A accreditation, has officially declared winter vacations for its Teaching Departments and Satellite Campuses. The break is scheduled to commence on January 1, 2024, and will conclude on February 25, 2024.

The Office of the Dean Academic Affairs issued a notice, informing all stakeholders about the winter vacation period. While the Teaching Departments and Campuses will be in recess during this time, the Departmental Offices will continue to function normally. Heads and Directors of the Departments and Campuses are instructed to ensure the smooth conduction of examinations and other scheduled activities.

In an effort to maintain academic continuity, the University has mandated that remedial classes, either in offline or online mode, be conducted by the respective Departments. This initiative aims to cover any remaining syllabus during the winter break.

The Assistant Registrar (Academic Affairs) emphasized the importance of resuming class work and other academic activities immediately after the conclusion of the winter vacations. The notice, numbered F (Winter-Break)/DAA/KU/2023, was officially issued on December 26, 2023.
