LOLAB LIONS ORGANISE HIKE AND CAMPING WITH YOUTH AT HIGHER REACHES OF NAGMARG
Disconnecting from technology and reconnecting with nature gives our brain a much-needed recharge.
Hiking is a great way to get fresh air, especially if you live in urban areas and during these trying times of lockdown due to COVID. Several studies indicate there are real benefits to getting outdoors to hike for overall health. Therefore, In a unique way to connect with the youth, understand each other and share strong bonds including exploring nature at its best during this season, Army Camp Gujjarpatti organised a Hike cum Camp at the higher reaches of Nagmarg. The Hike cum Camp witnessed participation of 25 young boys and students from Lolab Valley.
The event included a wholesome package of Trekking, tent pitching, Cooking, Camp Fire, and few sporting events at the lush green patch on the serene ridges of Nagmarg.
This day gave an opportunity to the youth to know their Army, walk and talk together and generated stronger bonds of friendship.
The boys cooked everything themselves and also enjoyed setting up the tents. It was wonderful experience as mentioned by the young boys who asked to organise more such events in future as well.
