National Lok Adalat: 218 cases amicably settled in Pulwama
Pulwama, Dec 9 (GNS): In pursuance of the National Legal Service Authority calendar and under the directions of J &K Legal Services Authority, The National Lok Adalat was organized in District Court Complex Pulwama under the Chairmanship of Mr. Naseer Ahmad Dar Chairman District Legal Service Authority ( Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Pulwama.
The National Lok Adalat was inaugurated by the Worthy Chairman District Legal Service Authority Pulwama in presence of all judicial officers & bar members of District Court Pulwama. Total 06 benches were constituted out of which 03 benches were constituted for holding of National Lok Adalat at District headquarters & other three benches at Tehsil Levels of the District Pulwama. Bench No.1 at Pulwama headquarter was headed by Mr. Naseer Ahmad Dar Ld. Pr. District & Sessions Judge Pulwama & assisted by Mr. Susheel Singh Secretary (Sub-Judge) DLSA Pulwama. Bench No. 2 was headed by Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Lone Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate Pulwama and was assisted by Ms. Hafsa Qayoom, Assistant Labour Commissioner Pulwama, Bench No.3 was headed by Mr. Majid Farooq Mir Munsiff/JMIC Pulwama and was assisted by Advocate Mehraj Ud Din Wani. Bench No.4 was headed by Mr. Touseef Ahmad Magrey, Ld. Munsiff / JMIC Pampore and was assisted by Adv. Bashir Ahmad Malik. Bench No. 05 was headed by Ld. Mr. Altaf Ahmed Mir Munsiff/ JMIC Tral and was assisted by Adv. Mohd. Shafi Dar (Bar President Tral) and bench No. 6 was headed by Mr. Shahbar Ayaz Ld. Additional Mobile Magistrate Awantipora and was assisted by Adv. Younus Rustum.
All these benches were also assisted by the Panel Lawyers, and PLVs of their respective jurisdiction. Total 386 of different nature including Criminal compoundable Cases, Matrimonial, Maintenance, Cheque Bounce, Civil, Revenue, Labour dispute, bank recovery, MACT, Litigation and Pre-Litigation were taken up before these Six benches out of which 218 cases were amicably settled and an amount of Rs 12910820/- was realized and an amount of Rs 9880000/- has been settled in MACT, Bank recovery & 138 N.I. Act Cases with the efforts of the presiding officers as well as by the cooperation of Bar members of the respective Courts. (GNS)
