Petrol and Diesel Price Touches Record Levels
Feb 12: Petrol and diesel prices raise again for the fourth day in a row on Friday. Petrol prices in the country are currently at record levels.
According to Indian Oil Corporation, the largest domestic oil marketing company, petrol in the national capital rose by 29 paise to Rs 88.14 per liter today. In Mumbai, petrol went up by 28 paisa to Rs 94.64 per litre, while in Calcutta it went up by 28 paisa to Rs 89.44 per liter.
In Chennai, its price has been increased by 26 paise and a liter of petrol was sold at Rs 90.44. Petrol has crossed Rs 94 per liter for the first time in Mumbai and Rs 90 per liter for the first time in Chennai. In Delhi, the price of diesel has gone up by 35 paisa to Rs 78.38 per liter, a record level since July 30, 2020.
In Mumbai, the price rose by 38 paise to Rs 85.32 per liter, in Chennai by 34 paise to Rs 83.52 per litre and in Kolkata by 35 paise to Rs 81.96 per litre.
