Urs of Sultan Sahib celeberated with fervour at Badasgam Anantnag

The annual Urs of Sultan Sahib Badasgami was observed with traditional fervour today.
Despite hot and humid weather conditions, a large number of devotees thronged the shrine of the revered Sufi saint located at Badasgam area of Kokernag belt in Southern region of Kashmir.
While ‘shab khwani’ (nightlong prayers) were held from last night till this morning, a caretaker of the shrine said devotees from adjacent areas remained engaged in prayers and supplications during Urs days.
The area outside the shrine wore a festive look as several stalls selling eatables.
