31st Open Kashmir Badminton Championship Concludes with Thrilling Matches and Awards Ceremony, Details Here
Srinagar, Feb 26: The 31st Open Kashmir Badminton Championship came to a close with an exciting awards ceremony held at the SKISC in Srinagar. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Sheikh Zulfikar Azad (SSP Security), who distributed prizes to the winners and runner-ups of various categories. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Hakim Nasir Hussain, Mr. Irfan Ahmad, Aijaz Qureshi, Khursheed Muzaffar, Mohd Saleem, Tariq Ahmad, and Mr. Maqsood Khan (Manager SKISC).
Over 150 players from all districts of the Kashmir province participated in different age categories in both boys and girls’ singles and doubles events. The matches were thrilling and showcased the participants’ skills, talent, and dedication to the sport.
In the Girls Singles U/11 category, Aleena emerged as the winner, beating Aleena Riyaz, who became the runner-up. In the Boys Singles U/11 category, Ibrahim Yousuf emerged victorious, defeating Affan, who became the runner-up.
In the Girls Singles U/13 category, Sheikh Mysha won the championship, while Aleena became the runner-up. In the Boys Singles U/13 category, Moazim emerged as the winner, defeating Haider Ali, who became the runner-up.
In the Girls Singles U/15 category, Sheikh Mysha won the championship, beating Falak Naaz, who became the runner-up. In the Boys Singles U/15 category, Murad Tariq emerged victorious, defeating Salman, who became the runner-up. Murad Tariq also won the Boys Singles U/17 category, with Abdul Hadi becoming the runner-up.
In the Boys Doubles U/17 category, Rehan and Mohsin emerged as winners, beating Haider and Farhan, who became the runner-up. In the Girls Doubles U/17 category, Aaiza and Khansa won the championship, defeating Jannees and Mahoor, who became the runner-up.
In the Girls Singles U/19 category, Bushra won the championship, while Aaiza Wakeel became the runner-up. In the Boys Singles U/19 category, Ibrahim Qureshi emerged as the winner, defeating Umair Zahoor, who became the runner-up.
In the Men’s Singles category, Ibrahim Qureshi won the championship, beating Amil Ishaq, who became the runner-up. In the Women’s Singles category, Bushra Qadir emerged victorious, defeating Hadia Anwar, who became the runner-up.
In the Men’s Doubles category, Sahil and Owais emerged as winners, beating Umair and Ibrahim, who became the runner-up. In the Women’s Doubles category, Azra and Bushra won the championship, defeating Hadia and Manshah, who became the runner-up. In the Mixed Doubles category, Mushir and Manshah emerged as winners, beating Amil and Dua, who became the runner-up.
In the Veteran Singles category, Uzair Kathjoo won the championship, defeating Sanjeev Arora, who became the runner-up. In the Veteran Doubles category, Owais and Sanjeev emerged as winners, beating Adil and Riyaz, who became the runner-up.
