8 Livestock Animals Charred To Death in Overnight Blaze in Manjakote Rajouri

Srinagar, Dec 12: At least eight livestock animals were charred to death in an inferno on intervening Monday and Tuesday night in Manjakote Rajouri, officials said.

The officials informed news agency Kashmir Scroll that an animal shed of one Mohammad Parvaiz, son of Mohammad Yousuf, in Kotli Tehsil Manjakote was razed to ashes after a fire broke out in it last night.

In the incident, the official said, five buffaloes, two oxen and a cow were charred to death.

The fire was controlled by the locals of the area to prevent it from spreading to residential houses.

A police official confirming it to Kashmir Scroll said that they have taken cognisance of the incident. (KS)
