Jammu-Srinagar National Highway Shut, 400 Vehicles Stranded
Srinagar, February 2: The critical Jammu-Srinagar national highway remains impassable for the second consecutive day due to landslips at multiple locations, report officials.
Efforts are underway to clear the debris from landslips and restore traffic on this vital route that connects Kashmir to the rest of the country.
As of now, over 400 vehicles find themselves stranded at various points along the highway, amplifying the inconvenience caused by the closure.
The 270-kilometer stretch was initially closed on Thursday following landslides at key points, including Sherbibi, Magerkote, Mehad Cafeteria, and Dalwas, along the highway, according to officials.
