Srinagar, Sep 04 (KB): Four days after the hectic search, the body of 9-year-old minor boy who drowned in the waters on September 1st, was retrieved from the Jhelum River at Gatamulla area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official told news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB), that Sahil Ahmad, son of, Abdul Rashid Lone from Gund Jahangeer, Hajin Bandipora, had gone to bath in Nallah Weth when he was swept away by the strong current.
This triggered a major search operation, he said.
Meanwhile, Locals are in anguish as this young life was lost, and the authorities have called for more awareness about water bodies.
The tragic incident has struck deep into the family of Sahil and the whole village, who now mourn the loss of a beloved child.— (KB)
