Thousands of teachers participated in the online training session

Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir, 21 September, 2021: Sri Aurobindo Society and Chief Education Office – Baramulla collectively organized a special webinar for the teachers of Baramulla district of Jammu & Kashmir to orient them about the National Education Policy- 2020 and to guide them in effective implementation of the new policy. Shri. G.M Lone (National Awardee) Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir graced the webinar as the chief guest of session. Shri Nazir Lone, District Cultural Coordinator, Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir and Shri. Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Rupantar, Sri Aurobindo Society attended the online session as the special guests. Thousands of teachers from Baramulla district virtually attended the webinar that was being live streamed on Sri Aurobindo Society’s ZIIEI YouTube channel.
Addressing the education officers and teachers with the various aspects and key points on New Education Policy – 2020, the chief guest Shri. G.M Lone (National Awardee) Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir said, “The New Education policy revolves around the main points equality, access, affordability and quality. It has something very good for all, may it be students or the teachers, and everyone will be benefitted through this policy. The best thing which has to be appreciated by all is inclusion of pre-primary in main stream. This stage is the best stage to build a strong foundation of any child.” Shri. Lone also appreciated and applauded the efforts of Sri Aurobindo Society for organizing the district level webinar for the teachers of Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir
During the virtual session, Mr. Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Sri Aurobindo Society who attended the webinar as a special guest, said, “This policy talks about inclusion in a broader sense and constructively addresses our national needs. India is on the path of progress and the new education policy 2020 has shown us the direction for transforming education. It is necessary that the teachers who lay the foundation of education understand the new education policy in detail and move forward to implement it. The active participation of the teachers in this webinar is indicative of their commitment towards work.”
The detailed training session on the National Education Policy 2020 for the teachers of Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir was conducted by Ms. Shazia Benazir, Master Trainer, Rupantar, Sri Aurobindo Society.
