Encounter breaks out at Arihal Pulwama

Pulwama, Nov 30 (KNO): An encounter broke out between miltants and security forces at Arihal village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday evening, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a joint cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
