Minimum Temperatures Recorded in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 17: Generally dry weather to continue till 26th November in Jammu and Kashmir, meteorological department said on Friday.

An Official from MeT told news agency Kashmir Scroll that currently, the weather is mainly clear to partly cloudy at most places of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that from November 17th to 26th, weather is expected to remain generally dry with occasional cloudiness on the 18th and 25th of November.

However, shallow fog with mist during morning and evening hours, affecting visibility in certain areas. Despite these conditions, overall, no significant weather activity until November 26th, he added.

Regarding the minimum temperature, he said that a significant dip has been observed across various stations in the Kashmir Division.

Konibal recorded the lowest minimum temperature at -3.5°C, closely followed by Pahlgam -3°C.

In Gulmarg, he said the mercury settled at -1.5°C.

In Kupwara, he said the mercury settled at -0.2°C.

In Qazigund, he said the mercury settled at -0.1°C.

In Banihal, he said the mercury settled at 2.2°C.

In Srinagar, he said the mercury settled at 0.6°C.

This shift in temperatures indicates a cooler period for the region, he said. (KS)
