Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) has emerged victorious in the recently held National Games, showcasing prowess in sports ranging from Sqay Martial Art to football.
Sheikh Hashim, a talented Class 12 student at GVEI, secured a gold medal in the field of Sqay Martial Art at the 37th National Games held at Goa. Hashim credited his success to the unwavering support of his parents and the guidance provided by the school.
Adding to the glory, Irfan Rangrez, a faculty member at GVEI, not only participated as a player in the 37th National Games but also clinched a gold medal in Sqay Martial Art. Expressing his joy, Rangrez attributed his triumph to the encouragement received from the school management and his supporters.
The sporting excellence of GVEI extended to the football field as well, with Mohsin Hussain Wani, a 10th-grade student, achieving a significant milestone. Mohsin, who represented GVEI in the 67th School National Games, has been selected as the goal keeper for the Jammu and Kashmir football team.
Overwhelmed by this recognition, Mohsin expressed his pride, saying, “I have a dream to represent my state and my country at national and international levels.”
He expressed gratitude to his parents for their unwavering support and acknowledged the school for providing continuous motivation.
“I am highly thankful to my school management and all my supporters who encouraged me and motivated me to be part of the games,” said Irfan Rangrez.
The management of Green Valley Educational Institute congratulated the winners and praised their dedication and vigorous enthusiasm.
“The school will persist in offering assistance to young athletes in all sports and will also contribute to giving the athletes a foundation for their future,” Chairman GVEI Muhammad Yousuf Wani said.
