The son of Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel, Asim Jameel, was shot dead in the Tulamba town of Khanewal district in Punjab on Sunday, Pakistan media reported.
Maulana Asim Jameel was shot in the chest, according to the police authorities. After being taken to Talamba Rural Health Center in critical condition, he passed away from his wounds.
They added that further investigation was under way.

Meanwhile, Asim Jameel’s Father Maulana Tariq Jameel on X informed, “My son Asim Jameel passed away today in Talamba. This accidental death made the atmosphere mournful. We request you all to remember us in your prayers on this sad occasion. May Allah grant my son a high place inJannat al-Firdous.”
