Srinagar, 18 Jan (KB): Faizan Farooq a young blood revolutionary Rapper hailing from Baghat Sopore. He is a mechanic by profession. He has completed his graduation and now doing his own business of modification of bikes and cars and besides all this he is also working on his future projects.
He believes that Kashmr has a lot of potential and they just need a platform to showcase their talent he also says that “Rap karo, Realty pai kro aur Haq pai kro”.
Talking to Kashmir Bulletin (KB), he said that i had started my career as a Rapper in 2013 but at that time i only used to upload my songs on Reverbenation and they were Dope type songs. Then i saw the videos of Mc Kas (Roushan Illahi) , Mohammad Muneen (Alif) and Ali Saif Din, who did songs on Kashmir, and i got inspired from them and i also stated doing Rap.
Then in 2015 i particapted in a Show namely “KASHMIR GOT TALENT” and lucky i got selected. The show was at Kashmir University srinagar and almost 60 to 70 people had participated in that show and Alhamdulillah i got the 3rd prize.
Then in 2016 and 2017 i wrote a lot of songs on Kashmir and some of my famous songs are (Tears of Mother), (Zulum te Kotha), (Words Of Mother), (Voices of Kashmir), (Soon watan) Etc.
I have recently wrote a Rap in 2021 and named it as (JANANO WALO), and i got amazing response from the people of Kashmir, this video got 4 K views in just 48 hours. I m very thankful to everyone for giving me so much love and support
People of Kashmir think that Hip Hop is just about Venomous Language (Gali Galooch), Girls (Ladkeya) and Durgs, etc. But i want to tell them that this is not the reality. For me Hip Hop is a way of expressing my thoughts, feelings and emotions regarding my mother Land.
