NEET PG Examination Fee Slashed by Rs 750

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a significant reduction in the examination fee for the NEET postgraduate examination. The fee has been reduced to ₹750, a move aimed at providing relief to aspiring students. The decision, communicated in a letter dated January 5, 2024, addressed to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, expresses gratitude for the minister’s leadership.

Dr Abhijat Sheth, President of the NBEMS, credited the success of the board in achieving its objectives and enhancing the quality of medical education in India to Minister Mansukh Mandaviya’s guidance. The fee reduction will benefit thousands of candidates, with each candidate seeing a reduction of ₹750 in the examination fee for applications submitted after January 1, 2024.

In the letter, Dr Sheth emphasized that this reduction wouldn’t have been possible without valuable inputs from the ministry and assured continued efforts. The NBEMS, under the guidance of the Union Health Minister, pledges to persist in its mission to provide more specialist manpower, conduct quality examinations, and offer training opportunities.

As for NEET PG 2024, the NBEMS is set to release information regarding the registration process, with speculation suggesting a potential July exam date. While the official date is yet to be announced, sources indicate that counselling might take place in August if the exam faces any delays.
