SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Kashmiri milk vendor Nazia Nazir, stating, “Your enthusiasm is a source of strength for me.” The interaction took place during a video conference with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a nationwide initiative to ensure the timely benefits of government flagship schemes to targeted beneficiaries.

Addressing Nazia Nazir, a milk vendor and VBSY beneficiary from Sheikh Pura, Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister inquired about her family. She mentioned that her husband works as an auto driver, and her two children attend government schools in Jammu and Kashmir.

Discussing changes in her village, Nazia Nazir credited the Jal Jeevan Mission for bringing clean and safe tapped water supply and resolving previous water issues.
Expressing gratitude for benefits like gas connections under Ujjwala Yojna, education in government schools, and the extension of PMGKAY for five years, she also shared the positive impact of the VBSY van in her village, embraced with rituals following Kashmiri culture
The Prime Minister expressed delight at interacting with Nazia Nazir, emphasising his confidence in the women power of Kashmir. “Your enthusiasm is a source of strength for me,” he reiterated, highlighting the positive message sent by the enthusiasm for VBSY in Jammu & Kashmir to the rest of the country.
The PM concluded by stating that this collective effort guarantees a bright future for new generations, expressing satisfaction at the nationwide participation in development and praising the contributions of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
