Srinagar, Jan 25, KNT: Rainawari locals Monday appealed Srinagar Municipal Corporation to curb the dog population in the interest of people. They said they are unable to make a move on the roads especially in the morning and evening times due to the presence of dogs.
“We are scared of venturing out from houses to offer morning and evening prayers. Dogs are everywhere. These chase everyone who come across them,” Jan Muhammad, a local of Kathidarwaza told KNT.
Locals said that there is heavy presence of dogs in Rainawari localities including Kathidarwaza, Zind Shah Masjid, Sikandarpora and others.
“These dogs have made the living hell, particularly for women, kids and old age persons here,” another local said.
The locals appealed to SMC to take measures to contain the population of dogs in Rainawari areas. (KNT)
