Recruitment process fair & transparent, claims of unfair exclusion baseless: CU Srinagar
Srinagar, Feb 09 (JKNS): Cluster University Srinagar rejected claims of unfair exclusion in Management Studies stating that the recruitment process for Assistant Professors is fair and transparent.
In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS Cluster University Srinagar has asserted that the ongoing process of recruitment for Assistant Professors in various disciplines is completely fair and transparent with subject-wise screening committees carefully scrutinizing the applications as per the varsity’s advertisement notice.
The clarification comes specifically in the wake of the claim made by some candidates who had applied for the Assistant Professor position in Management Studies, but were not considered by the concerned screening committee since they did not possess the requisite specialization as clearly specified in the advertisement notice dated 25th October 2025.
CU Spokesperson further said that, In addition to the basic eligibility criteria based on Master’s degree, NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D Degree, the clause ‘B’ of the said advertisement notice clearly mentions that besides fulfilling these conditions of eligibility, the qualifications for Management Studies shall be: (i) Master’s degree with 55 percent marks in Management Studies with specialization in Finance; (ii) Master’s degree with 55 percent marks in Management Studies with specialization in Human Resource.
“The claim made by some applicants that Cluster University Srinagar has not entertained MBA degrees from Kashmir University is not based on facts. Going by the advertisement notice, candidates who do not possess the requisite specialization have not made it through the screening process irrespective of the university from which they have been awarded the MBA degrees,” asserted the university spokesperson.
The MBA degree certificates furnished by these candidates do not mention the requisite specialization and hence have not passed the screening stage, it reads.
The spokesman also clarified that even some of the candidates having MBA degree with specialization from Kashmir University have been shortlisted for the said interview.
Meanwhile, Cluster University Srinagar has reiterated its commitment to ensure fair and transparent recruitment process as per the clearly laid down guidelines and related public advertisements, reads the statement (JKNS)
