Reshuffle in J&K Police, 15 DySPs transferred

Srinagar 29 Dec (KB): Jammu & Kashmir Police Issues Transfer Order for Deputy Superintendents of Police

The Jammu & Kashmir Police headquarters issued an order today transferring several Deputy Superintendents of Police (DYSPs) to new posts across the Kashmir and Jammu regions.

A total of 15 DYSPs were transferred in the order. Some key transfers include:

– Zaheer Abbas has been transferred from DYSP State Crime Records Bureau Jammu to SDPO Nehru Park Srinagar
– Mohd Irfan Khan has been transferred from DYSP PCR Jammu to SDPO Amas
– Owais Rashid has been transferred from DYSP District Armed Ramban to SDPO Bijbehara
– Ajaz Ahmad has been transferred from DYSP Police Control Kupwara to DYSP Headquarters Kulgam

The police order stated that the transfers were being made “in the interest of administration” and would take effect immediately.

Eight senior police officers, including several Superintendents of Police (SPs), have also been asked to report to the Zonal Police Headquarters in Srinagar/Jammu until their formal adjustment/posting.

The order has been issued by the Director General of Police J&K and signed by the Inspector General of Police.–(Kashmir Bulletin)
