Srinagar, Oct 29 (KB): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has been transferred, Sh. Sonam Lotus, Scientist-E, to Leh as the Head of MeT Centre Leh, as this change comes as part of a recent order issued by the Office of the Director General of Meteorology, a copy of which has been acquired by Kashmir Bulletin.
The order further dictates that Sh. Sonam Lotus is to assume his new role as Head of MeT Centre Leh immediately and is relieved of his duties as the Head of MeT Centre Srinagar, a position he had been holding until now, while this transfer will remain in effect until further orders from the authorities.
Simultaneously, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Scientist-D, has been appointed to take on the responsibilities of Head of MeT Centre Srinagar with immediate effect until further orders.
