‘Bring him back in the interest of people’
Bandipora, Jan 18: Respectable citizens and locals from Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district Monday appealed top brass of Jammu and Kashmir Police to bring back Station House Officer Sumbal in the interest of people.

Station House Officer (SHO) Sumbal has recently been transferred and attached with District Police Lines Bandipora.

A delegation from Sumbal-Sonawari told KNT that Muneeb-ul-Islam was a dedicated police officer who left no stone unturned to free the Sumbal Zone from drug menace.
“He is an out and out gentleman who was doing real policing. He had established close contacts with locals and always helped people. We are really distressed to see him getting transferred from the area,” a local said.

“We appeal to DG and IG police to re-consider the decision and bring him back as SHO police station Sumbal,” the delegation said adding that it is the demand of whole Sumbal locality. (KNT)
