Active Monsoon: 3-Day wet spell in J&K from tomorrow, mercury levels likely to drop by 5-10°C
Some respite from the summer heat is possible across Jammu and Kashmir from Monday onwards with the approaching monsoon winds. Mercury levels are set to drop by 5-10°C over both the regions.
As per (Kashmir Weather), an independent weather forecaster, monsoon winds are likely to strengthen over J&K by tomorrow and may lead to moderate to heavy rain showers over Jammu region, light to moderate rainfall is expected over Kashmir as well. Both south-easterly and north-westerly winds will be responsible for the rainfall.
No continuous rainfall is expected during the next three days, however, thundershowers are likely to keep the mercury in check.
Day temperature in Jammu is expected to remain below 35°C while in Kashmir mercury may stay below 29°C.
Due to heavy rain showers, there are chances of flash floods in some parts of Jammu region and people need to remain vigilant.
